Trains return to the GCR(N)! Our full size railway is operating on selected weekends throughout the 2025 season - and there's no better way to see Nottinghamshire than from a heritage train. Check individual event pages for details.
You're invited to visit Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, our base. The Heritage Centre is also home to a collection of heritage buses, a large miniature railway, a model railway display, cafe, shop, and more.
Our base at Ruddington Fields is easy to access: Catch the NCT 10X or 10C from the city centre, or try the Kinchbus 9 and get off at the Scout Hut. For drivers, on-site parking is available for most events; we're just off the A60 on Mere Way.
We are usually open from 10am to 4pm on Weekends - but there may be exceptions for special events. Check before you travel.
