Join the membership organisation that keeps both sides of the Great Central Railway alive — and enjoy exclusive benefits as a thank you.
The Friends of the Great Central Main Line (FoGCML) is the membership organisation supporting both the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire and Great Central Railway Nottingham. It plays a vital role in delivering the ever-improving heritage experience that both railways are proud to offer.
The railway is largely run by dedicated volunteers, all of whom are proud FoGCML members. From maintaining century-old bridges and track to restoring locomotives and carriages, running the railway is both complex and costly — and your support truly matters.
There are three types of membership to choose from. In return for a modest annual subscription, you'll enjoy a range of benefits — and the knowledge that you're helping to secure the future of the Great Central for generations to come.
FoGCML membership covers both GCR in Leicestershire and GCRN in Nottinghamshire — one membership, two great railways.
Membership starts from just £15 a year for juniors and students, and £28 for adults. Download the leaflet to join by post, or visit the GCR website to find out more and sign up today.
Your membership directly supports the volunteers, locomotives and infrastructure that keep this historic railway running — and reunification moving forward.
The Friends of the Great Central Main Line supports both GCRN and GCR Loughborough. For the full membership information, history of the organisation and online joining options, visit the GCR website directly.
