

Thanks to a great effort from GCR(N) volunteers and the events team at Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, we're delighted to report that steam passenger trains are now back in action.
Just in time to celebrate the bicentennial of rail travel, our home fleet has been joined by Carron №14, all the way from Falkirk. Carron represents the power of Edwardian industry, and is now well over a hundred years old.
Families and enthusiasts enjoyed rides to Rushcliffe Halt on our heritage carriages as part of a joint event with the GCR at Loughborough. Pausing only to taken on coal and water, the train headed out again for an Indian dining experience all the way to Loughborough.
Our Rail 200 celebration continues on the 6th of July at Ruddington and stations to Leicester North, with heritage trains and buses offering a complete vintage travel experience.
