Brand new for 2025, we've partnered with a local award-winning restaurant to recreate the culinary heritage of Indian Railways, right here in Nottinghamshire!
The Vegetarian Rasoi is a family-owned catering business that has been serving delicious cuisine for over 7 years. Don't just take our word for it - they've been voted the Best Vegetarian Indian Takeaway in the East Midlands, Won the Great Food Club's People's Choice, and reached the finals of the English Curry Awards.
The Indian Railway system is home to a rich and diverse culture of street and buffet food sold at trains and stations throughout the country. We're bringing that to Britain's Great Central Mainline, with heritage trains on a unique journey through the wide-open evening landscape.
Whether you have previously joined us for one of our Indian Street Food Experiences or trying out this sensory evening for the first time then get ready for an evening to transport you to the hustle and bustle of Indian railways all in the heart of Nottinghamshire!

- Chickpeas with Paneer served on a bed of fluffy rice
- Kulfi (Ice Cream)
Beers, wines and soft drinks will be available to buy on the train.
