Thanks to your generosity, our appeal to help fund a brand new toilet block has already reached £2,000.
We have been granted £40,000 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (part of the Government's Levelling Up Agenda) via Rushcliffe Borough Council. We expect the toilet block which will be built near the new bus garage at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre to cost around £65,000. We are also actively applying for other grants but the appeal is essential to success.
When completed, for the first time we will be able to offer visitors to the railway and site permanent wheeled access facilities and baby change toilets fit for the 21st Century. They will be accessible to public and volunteers alike.
We really appreciate your support. Donations can be made through the LNER GC Heritage Trust. Every pound helps us all spend a penny in future!
