Our brand new 20 metre long inspection pit is now in the ground! We're very grateful to everyone who has helped make this happen because its a real game changer for us.
We can now look forward to being able to prepare, service and clean the largest locomotives, with proper facilities. The new pit will have lighting, power connections and compressed air connections. As you can see, it's right outside our locomotive running shed which also has been refreshed.
All that's left is for a little more concreting to take place and then the relaying of the track. We could still do with some more funds for the concrete.
